Lorinery display competition finalists announced

The search for the winner of the BETA Lorinery Display Competition – a national equestrian industry initiative for retailers to promote a deeper understanding of this important sector – is nearly over and the finalists have been announced.

Aivly Country Store, Ringwood, Hampshire, Lillico's Country Store in Aylesford, Kent, Risley Saddlery, Derbyshire, and Speedgate Enterprises, Chislehurst, Kent, have all made it through to the last stage of this prestigious competition organised by the British Equestrian Trade Association and run in conjunction with the Worshipful Company of Loriners.

“These four companies have done a phenomenal job of creating some really fantastic in-store displays,” said BETA executive director Claire Williams. “They were attractive, eye-catching and, above all, extremely informative and engaging, and served as a valuable resource to promote and support the sale of lorinery. They are also a great way of highlighting the professionalism that exists within the equestrian trade. The standard of entries has been exceptionally high and we would like to congratulate everyone who took part and wish the finalists the very best of luck.”

The competition was open to all retailers selling lorinery. Each entrant was provided with an A3 bitting information board to incorporate into a lorinery display in-store. The winning entry will be selected by an independent panel of judges and announced at the BETA Gala Dinner – along with the BETA Business Awards – on 22 January at the National Motorcycle Museum, near Birmingham, where they will be presented with a trophy and a £500 voucher to spend on lorinery stock from a UK supplier of their choice.
